Michigan Venison Company provides all natural, whitetail venison to chefs and food lovers all over the globe. The meat we provide is harvested humanely from free range whitetail deer raised in the wild Northwoods of Michigan. Our deer browse on berries, nuts, sedges, and other hearty foods and roam freely throughout dense hardwoods--the way Mother Nature intended. To us, our mission is beyond just serving delicious food. It's about promoting a reconnection to Nature and the nutritious, wholesome health benefits of foods that come from a wild environment.

Our Story

Nourishment by Nature. Enjoy our all natural, free range venison.

In today’s world of artificial ingredients and inhumane and unhealthy industrial farming, it’s refreshing to see a new trend towards buying and serving more natural and free-range meats. Michigan Venison Company, located near Traverse City, Michigan is excited to be at the forefront of this all natural meat movement.

We decided to create Michigan Venison Company after seeing a need for natural wild game meat to reach mainstream kitchens. To us, today's world has grown a bit too distant from the the world of Mother Nature and an appreciation of the healthy foods that she offers.

Aside from the many amazing health benefits of venison—including low amounts of cholesterol, calories, and fat—the venison we offer supports our “natural meat” principal. Simply put, this means that our meat is harvested only from wild, free-range whitetail deer that are native to North America (most venison served today is actually farm-raised red deer from New Zealand). Our deer herd lives and forages freely in the fruitful woods of Northern Michigan—the way Mother Nature intended. The final result is the most authentic-tasting and true form of whitetail venison available on the market today.

We offer vacuum-sealed cuts of aged venison for restaurants and food lovers throughout the globe. Choose from our delicious tenderloins or steaks, or use our ground venison meat as a more healthy replacement of beef or pork. We're excited to currently be working on several new venison products, including artisan burgers, brats, and gourmet jerky. All will feature natural Michigan ingredients.
